Riffdächer, Außenlagunen, Außenriffe bis 30 m, nachtaktiver Räuber, frisst Fische und Krebse. Nervös und aggressiv. Schlangenförmiger Körper, Kopf gelblich. Kiemenöffnung ohne Kiemendeckel, Flossensaum aus Rücken- After und Schwanzflosse bestehend, Brust- und Bauchflossen fehlen
Rotes Meer, Indischer Ozean, westl. und zentraler Pazifik
